“THE SHATTERED MIND” will host a red-carpet sneak peek in October 2014 at the filmmaker’s alma mater, New York University, Cantor Film Center. This epic history-making indie film will be produced and directed by the only known award-winning, African-American Deaf filmmaker, Ann Marie “Jade” Bryan, who was the first deaf filmmaker to obtain a BFA degree in film production at New York University in 1993.

Jade, CEO of Jade Films and Entertainment commented: I am very thrilled yet humbled to have the opportunity to make “THE SHATTERED MIND,” my 2nd film touching on topics about the African-American Deaf Experience. We lack representation of our culture in film and TV. “THE SHATTERED MIND” is fresh, honest and most importantly will give viewers an in-depth look at the Deaf Black cultural experience; ingredients that we believe will give it significant international commercial appeal.
